Act of recognition to the ETSEIB Community
The Barcelona School of Industrial Engineering (ETSEIB) has had its recognition ceremony at the beginning of the current academic year 2024 – 2025. Traditionally, this event corresponds to the opening ceremony of the course, but this year the event was changed. It took place on Thursday, October 24 at 12:30 p.m., in the Aula Capella of the ETSEIB.
The program of the event began with a welcome by the Director of the ETSEIB, Professor Enric Fossas and had the following parts:
- Awards ceremony: scholarships and company awards and international mobility grants.
- Mentions to student teams, specifically four: the BCN eMotorsport team, the Engihack 2024 team, the V National Olympiad of Machine and Mechanism Theory team and the winner of the V National Machine and Mechanism Theory Olympiad in the individual category.
- Recognition of the School’s staff with 25 years of service to the institution and on their retirement
Finally, the closing of the event was also given by Professor Enric Fossas.
This event serves as the starting gun for the academic year. It is also an act full of symbolism that highlights the importance of the school and its continuity.
From the BEST Foundation we wish everyone a lot of encouragement and a lot of success.
